About

Andrew Flower has been practising acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine since 1992. He completed his PhD at the University of Southampton exploring the role of Chinese herbal medicine in the treatment of endometriosis, and has published several peer-reviewed papers including two Cochrane systematic reviews. He is a Past President of the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine, co-ordinated an EU project on clinical trial guidelines for Chinese medicine, and held a 5-year NIHR Post Doctoral Fellowship investigating Chinese herbs for recurrent urinary tract infections. Andrew co-founded Soothe to combine his clinical expertise with modern evidence-based research, making personalised herbal medicine accessible to more people.
